The 'Empowering' Campaign
When Microsoft's 3rd CEO took the job, he brought a renewed mission to the company - to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
The problem was, this was 2014, and nobody was paying much attention to Microsoft. They had lost relevancy over 40 long years as an industry mainstay.
But their products were pervasive, used by millions of people every day. Changing lives. Doing good.
So we turned our cameras on the people who do great things with Microsoft's hardware and software. We told their stories, and in turn told the story of Microsoft, the Empowering company.
MY ROLE:
I led research, discovering the stories that embodied our message of Empowerment. I directed storyboard artists, wrote treatments, and pitched the client to get each job awarded. At the office and on location, I worked with the director to develop shooting scenarios, and wrote the interview questions that fueled our docu-style films.
In post, I worked with the editor to craft the story, and wrote copy to promote each video across social media.
